Mindfulness Based Programmes

What are Mindfulness-Based Programmes?
Mindfulness-Based Programmes help you build greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. Many of us live life on ‘autopilot’, reacting to stress and challenges in unhelpful ways without even realising it. These courses help you slow down, notice your experiences, and respond with more clarity and self-compassion.
Our sessions combine guided meditation, group discussion, and practical strategies for bringing mindfulness into everyday life.
We currently offer two tailored options:
- Mindfulness for Depression (MBCT)
- Mindfulness for Health (MfH)
Each programme is led by qualified therapists who are also experienced mindfulness teachers. You don’t need any prior experience with mindfulness—just a willingness to take part and explore new ways of managing your wellbeing.
What to expect from a mindfulness group
- 8 weekly sessions, each lasting 2 hours
- Small, supportive groups (up to 12 people)
- Daytime and evening options available
- Delivered online via a secure platform (no technical expertise needed)
- Sessions include learning, meditation practice, and reflection
You’ll be encouraged to practise mindfulness techniques at home between sessions to get the most benefit from the course.
Mindfulness for Depression (MBCT)
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) blends mindfulness practices with aspects of cognitive therapy to help reduce symptoms of depression and prevent future relapses.
This course is ideal if you:
- Are experiencing low mood or symptoms of depression
- Are currently well but want to prevent relapse
- Find yourself stuck in unhelpful thinking patterns like worry or self-criticism
- Want to take part in a structured, evidence-based group course
- Can commit to weekly online sessions and practice between meetings
MBCT has proven highly effective for improving mood and helping people feel more in control of their thoughts and emotions.
Mindfulness for Health (MfH)
This programme is designed for people living with long-term physical health conditions such as chronic pain, fatigue, or other ongoing symptoms.
It teaches mindfulness and pacing strategies to reduce distress, manage symptoms, and improve quality of life.
You may benefit from MfH if you:
- Live with persistent pain, fatigue, or similar symptoms
- Feel frustrated, low, or overwhelmed by your condition
- Often do too much then ‘crash’, or avoid activities altogether
- Struggle with thoughts like “I should be doing more” or “I can’t cope”
- Are open to learning practical, self-care techniques in a structured group setting
