Feeling Anxious?

You’re not alone – support is available.

Feeling anxious from time to time is completely normal – it’s our body’s way of responding to stress or uncertainty. Whether it’s a big event, a new experience, or a change in your daily routine, anxiety can show up as a sense of unease or worry.

However, when these feelings start to affect your everyday life – making it hard to relax, focus, or sleep – it may be more than just occasional nerves.

Anxiety can have many different causes. It might be linked to your upbringing, past experiences, stressful life changes, or even your genetic makeup. If anxiety runs in your family, you may be more likely to experience it too.

Everyone’s experience of anxiety is different, but some of the most common symptoms include:

  • Feeling constantly on edge, nervous, or easily irritated
  • Struggling to fall asleep or stay asleep
  • A sense that something bad might happen
  • Difficulty focusing or making decisions
  • Physical effects like a racing heart, trembling, shortness of breath, or sweating

If these symptoms sound familiar, you’re not alone – and support is available. With the right help, anxiety is manageable. Our talking therapies can help you take control and feel more like yourself again.
